Restore faded and yellowed photos
Color prints from the 1960s–90s fade and turn yellow or red. The AI brings back contrast and detail and sharpens faces.

How to restore faded and yellowed photos
- Scan the print or take a straight, well-lit phone picture of it (no flash, avoid glare).
- Drop the photo into the box above and pick what to fix.
- Wait 10–60 seconds while the AI restores it.
- Drag the slider to compare, then download the restored photo.
Faded color prints
Most color prints lose their cyan dye first, which is why old photos turn red or orange. Restoring them keeps the existing colors and sharpens the image. If a color photo is badly faded, switching on "Add color" recolors it from scratch, which often looks more natural than the faded dyes.
Frequently asked questions
My photo is reddish. Will it be fixed?
Try "Add color": the AI recolors the photo from its brightness, which removes a strong color cast. Without it, the original colors are kept and sharpened.
